What is MSU SMEA?
The Student Michigan Education Association is a pre-professional organization for students studying to become teachers. SMEA gives its members an extra edge by helping make a smooth transition from campus to the classroom. At MSU, we focus on four areas:
Professional Development (inclusive teaching practices, government influence on teachers, teacher panels, internship inside scoops, workshops, and conferences)
Community Service (collection of school supplies, Homework Help Room)
Fundraising (Yankee Candle)
Social Events (Movie night, game nights, Cider Mill, etc.)
Outreach to Teach (our largest event, think "Extreme Home Makeover: School Edition")
